Beacon Photography makes taking portraits fun and easy. The portrait sessions can be held at the Beacon Photography studio in Winthrop or on-location, such as from the comfort of your own home, office, or at an outdoor location. Founder and senior photographer, John Munson, loves to meet new people and makes the whole process relaxing by talking and laughing throughout the whole session. Each portrait session and the photos are tailored to what the customer wants and can be geared for the following purposes:

• family portraits,
• infant or child portraits,
• school or senior year photos,
• pregnancy portraits,
• sexy gift portraits,
• corporate head shots, or
• modeling or talent head shots (see composite card option below).

Beacon Photography will deliver high quality photos that you can be proud of. Beacon Photography provides a Satisfaction Guarantee Policy, which states that if the customer is not 100% satisfied with the photos due to a error on the part of the photographer, Beacon Photos will either provide a re-shoot or replace the prints at no additional cost.

Portrait Packages

Studio Sitting Fee - $75

• 20 minute photo session and (1) 8×10 print, plus online album with ability to purchase extra prints online.

Holiday Portrait & Card Packages - $130 / $150 / $185

• 20 minute portrait session in-studio only and (3) 5×7 prints.
• Holiday Cards: 5” x 7” glossy cards with envelopes = Choose from…
  ● 30 cards for $130 ● 50 cards for $150 ● 100 cards for $185
• Process & Turnaround Time: After photo session, customer picks photo for card cover, provides message for inside of card and selects favorite style (if any) for design. Beacon creates card & customer modifies and/or approves. Cards arrive within 7 days. Last day is Tuesday, Dec. 9 th

Standard Portrait Package - $150 ($275 value)

• Up to 45 minutes in-studio or on-location or both
• (4) wallet prints of one photo, (10) 4 x 6 prints of selected photos, (3) 5 x 7 prints, (1) 8 x 10 print
• Process & Turnaround Time: After photo session, Beacon Photography will upload best photos to an online album, which customer can view within 3 to 7 business days of the shoot. Customer then gives Beacon the list of photos to be printed based on package purchased.

Classic Portrait Package - $250 ($520 value)

• Up to 1.5 hours portrait session in-studio or on-location or both
• (4) wallet prints of 2 photos, (20) 4 x 6 prints, (5) 5 x 7 prints and (2) 8 x 10’s

Deluxe Portrait Package - $395 ($705 value)

• Up to 2 hours portrait session in-studio or on-location or both
• (1) Soft Cover Proof Book of Best Photos up to 40 pages (4 images per page) & Screen saver on CD
• (8) 5 x 7 prints of selected images, (5) 8 x 10 prints, (1) 11×14 or 12 x 18 print

Terms:

Online album can be expected within 7 days of shoot. Images can be ordered online or by emailing selections to john@beaconphotos.com. Prints can be expected within 7 days of ordering, and framed prints within 14 days. Photo shoots outside of Winthrop will be billed extra for travel. Additional shoot time at customer’s request will be billed at $75 per 30 min. Images can be ordered online or by emailing selections to john@beaconphotos.com. Photo session images are archived indefinitely and are available for purchase online indefinitely but remain the property of Beacon Photography unless digital negatives are purchased. Framed prints are done professionally by third party.

Extra Notes: All photos are taken by John Munson with a professional grade digital camera and lenses (exclusively Canon), and are manually corrected in a digital darkroom, optimized for proper exposure, color balance, contrast, composition, sharpness, and artifact removal, such as dust, lint, or skin blemishes). All color photos can be converted into black and white or Sepia tone, and we will often provide two versions of the same image.

Gift Certificates

Portrait session gift certificates are a perfect gift for the holidays. They are valid for up to two years from the date of purchase. Upon ordering a gift certificate, a hand crafted card indicating the value of the gift certificate will be mailed to the location and person of your choice.

Portrait Tips

Listed below are several great tips for getting great portrait photographs.

• Enjoy yourself! Don’t focus on looking your best too much, just be yourself and focus on the people you are with and the feelings they conjure up.
• Don’t wear anything with thin striped lines, as it can cause distortion in images.
• If you want to go outdoors, consider scheduling it within 3 hours after sunrise or 3 hours before sunset. The light is less harsh then.
• Bright sunny days are great but overcast days actually as well if not better for photos.
• Some wonderful outdoor locations in Winthrop include Coughlin Park, Deer Island, Yirrel Beach, Winthrop Beach, Fort Heath, etc.
